About Us
Green Mountain Behavior Consulting, Inc. (GMBC) was established in 2014 by Melinda Neff, M.Ed, BCBA, LBA, CEO, with the vision of providing high quality, family friendly, and child-centered behavior analytic services to support children, youth, and adults with disabilities in schools and in the community. Many talented professionals, experienced in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), have since joined Green Mountain Behavior Consulting. Our vision has focused on utilizing the most current research and evidence based practices of ABA to improve the lives of children, youth, and families. In addition to our work with families and children, GMBC has also collaborated and consulted with school districts across Vermont to assist with on-going training and to support teams with creating better support systems in public schools. In 2015, Green Mountain Behavior Consulting expanded this vision to include an early intervention program for young children with autism located in Montpelier, VT. In 2021 we will be expanding to include another, reputable, early intervention center in Southern Vermont for children with Autism. |
Our Focus
With changes in the Vermont legislation and insurance, it is now possible for families to receive applied behavioral services and early intervention through their private insurance, or through Medicaid. Green Mountain Sprout's program is designed to bill private insurance and/or Medicaid to provide medically necessary treatment for children with Autism or Developmental Disabilities through ABA therapy. Green Mountain Sprouts is a center for children to receive these early intervention therapies, and for families to receive training and support. Our aim is to help prepare children with autism (and their families) for a successful school experience by creating a supportive and nurturing preschool experience, while teaching children new skills using ABA based strategies and supports.
