Board Certified Behavior Analyst(s) (BCBA)
A BCBA is a person who is certified to practice and provide behavior analytic services. A BCBA obtains their credentials through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. Requirements to obtain certification include possessing a graduate level degree, engaging and particpating in relevant coursework , completing supervised experience hours, and ultimately passing the BCBA exam. Our BCBA's at Green Mountain Sprouts possess their certification and are also licensed to practice in the state of Vermont.
Assistant Behavior Consultant (ABC)
An assistant behavior consultant is an individual who already posseses a bachelor's level degree and is actively pursuing their certification in applied behavior analysis. An ABC is enrolled in graduate level classes (minimum of 2 classes completed) or is in the process of starting their supervisory experience hours. Under the direct supervision of a BCBA the ABC assists with all levels of programming, assessment, and training while adhering to the BCBA code of ethics as well as the BACB supervison requirements.
Behavior Technicians/Registered Behavior Technicians
A behavior technician is a trained professional who provides 1:1 individualized services to their clients under the supervision of a BCBA. A behavior technician is an individual who holds, at minimnum, a bachelor's level degree or is actively pursing their degree. Some of the many responsiblities of BT's include implementing specific teaching programs, adhereing to indvidualized behavior plans, conducting on-going assessment procedures and collecting client specific data. Before BT's are assigned to a particular client/family all Green Mountain Sprout's BT/RBT's are required to complete 40 hours of training in applied behavior anlaysis in addition to completing ongoing training in CPR/First Aid, mandated reporting, HIPAA compliance, and universal precautions.
